Black screw tab wound in superferro

Stock Level: 503

Product Information

New stock of Black screwed tabs in cassette shells loaded with our higher grade superferro cassette tape. Record tabs are in place, 5 screw shell construction

Tips and advice to select correctly:

With a tab in shell you do not need to cover the top 2 holes in order for your cassette recorder to enable the record position. However once you have recorded the sound onto the cassette you can remove the plastic tab with a sharpish object or even your finger nail. The tabs being out in most domestic cassette recorders should prevent 'record' accidentaly being engaged and erasing your sound. Should you wish to record over the tape again you may need to cover the holes with a piece of sticky tape or blu-tac.

Please select the length of tape you require from the drop-down menu. If the exact length of tape you need is not listed in the menu then please order the nearest length and add a message on your order of the exact length. Please note the 'C' lengths are the total time in minutes of BOTH side. A C60 is 30 mins per side, 60 minutes, one hour in total. We load the cassettes to the length you need and they are very accurate, it is always advisable to add on a little extra time to avoid any sound being cut off as cassette deck running speeds can often be running slightly fast/slow which in turn would make our cassettes appear to be shorter or longer than they are.

SuperFerro tape is a higher grade than our standard music grade ferro tape and should be able to achieve a slightly higher recording level resulting in a better sharper sound with less noise. It has a slightly thicker base making it stronger and more stable as well as helping it's sound performance, improving print through for example, but the thicker base prevents us being able to offer longer lengths above C105 which our basic ferro could reach. Actually our SuperFerro tape here comes in 2 thicknesses and lengths under C65 uses an even thicker base. This practice of using thicker tape for shorter lengths almost dissapeared around 15 years ago when going to the trouble of changing the tape thickness for every job was exchanged for the ease and convenience of using one thickness for all, it's good to have the choice again. The superferro tape does cost more than normal ferro but it's still great value and great alternative to the much more expensive chrome type 2 tape.
