last few Reel2Reel C60

5.0 average, based on 1 reviews

Stock Level: 3

Product Information

Last few available without any damage. New old stock. With green reel hubs.

The shells are 30+ years old and although unused before they have some slight minor marks or minor surface scratches,

The tape inside is much newer than the shells, probably about 10 years old, but not sure if it is loaded with C50 or C60 tape. It will be somewhere in between 50-60 mins long in total.

These are the very same shells and loaded with old tape on ebay between £20 and £100 sometimes beyond £100. Many are used and/or home made. The shells with these reels were made at the same factory. Many of our previous sales have ended up on ebay at 5 x our website price or more. We have even seen buyers open up the shells (they are screwed) and add a logo or name to the little spool reel.

These being screwed shells the inside tape and reels can be tansplanted into a new clear screwed cassette shell if you feel confident enough to do that and you'd end up with a brand new shiney spotless reel2reel cassette....or a pile of tape on the floor.

Please note the ones in this listing have green reels, we may also be able to produce others in either similar condition, worse (a few minor cracks) or possibly better condition with red, blue, aqua, purple, silver and black reels although the best ones will be around £20 each

Nice Reels

Great little reel to reel style cassette. Definitely a dirty ferric but has that nice warm wooly sound. Best used on a deck with bias and record sensitivity. The only issue is the tabs at the top are in a position where the metal tape sensor would be. Even though the tabs are not broken if the deck sensors are sensitive it will think you have a type 1 and 4 in the machine. This is easily fixed though with covering it with sticky tape. The average time on these is around 38 minutes per side so perfect for recording a cd album.
